The UW-Oshkosh Cheer & Stunt Team is getting ready for the upcoming year. The squad began its season with a new head coach, Calissa Palches. Spring tryouts were held May 17-18, and the coed squad was selected. The team currently has 23 athletes, mostly returners. This summer the squad has many events planned outside of practice, including the Titan Golf Classic, car washes, raffle ticket sales, parades, cheer camps and much more.
Throughout the season, our team supports the Titans on the sidelines at football games and on the courts at basketball games. The squad also performs at cheerleading competitions across the state in order to prepare for collegiate cheer competitions, including nationals in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Fall tryouts will be held on Sunday, September 8, from 6 - 10 p.m. in Kolf Sports Center (Gym C). For more information about tryouts and the requirements, stop by the Taste of Oshkosh on Tuesday, September 3, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. or email coach Sarah Benben at email@example.com.
The squad is looking forward to cheering on the Titans during another amazing season!
