The WIAC selected UW-Oshkosh's Emily Reichenberger as one of its two Women's Track & Field Athlete of the Week award winners for meets held Jan. 16-22.
Reichenberger, the league's top track performer, recorded two of the top times in the NCAA Division III with her first-place runs during the 60- and 200-meter dashes at the North Central College (Ill.) Cardinal Opener on Jan. 20.
Reichenberger sprinted to the third-fastest time in the country with her run of 7.81 seconds in the 60-meter dash. Reichenberger defeated 17 other participants, including Sade Gant of North Central College who finished second with a time of 7.91 seconds.
In the 200-meter dash, Reichenberger registered the fourth-fastest time in the nation with her run of 25.56 seconds. She outran 24 other competitors, including teammate Olivia Seeley who placed second with a time of 26.54 seconds.
UW-La Crosse won the four-team meet with 204 points. UW-Oshkosh finished second with 129 points and Carthage College third with 116.
Lydia Meyer of UW-Stout was named the WIAC's Field Athlete of the Week.
