Natasha Cattelino (Fr. • Pleasant Prairie) and Abby Zubella
(Jr. • Appleton) each posted an 18th-place finish to lead
UW-Oshkosh's individuals at the National Collegiate
Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championship on Friday and Saturday
(March 23-24) in Brockport, N.Y.
Zubella, a national qualifier for the second straight year,
scored 9.40 on the floor exercise for 18th. Cattelino matched that
performance on the uneven bars with her score of 9.10.
Ashlan Millikan (Fr. • New Castle, Ind.) competed on the
vault and booked a season-high tally of 9.375 for 27th place.
UW-Oshkosh also had Jill Lindberg (Sr. • Meridian, Idaho) gain
a 27th-place result in the floor exercise at 9.325. Lindberg
participated on the beam as well, placing 49th with a score of
8.575.
The fifth and final Titan at the meet was Leane Blais (Fr.
• Salisbury, N.C.). She compiled 8.85 points to list 35th in
the bars standings. UW-La Crosse's Christa Booman won the
bars event with a 9.55.
Jessica Bolduc (Ithaca College, N.Y.) captured the floor
exercise with her score of 9.675. SUNY-Cortland's Marissa
Goodstein took first on the vault at 9.65 and
SUNY-Brockport's Elizabeth Levy prevailed in the all-around
at 37.65. Elise Konikoff (Cortland) and Mary Kate Young
(UW-Whitewater) shared the balance beam title with scores of
9.75.
The national championship was shared by Brockport and
UW-Whitewater after both teams marked 188.05 points. UW-La Crosse
placed third at 187.20, followed by Cortland in fourth at 185.55,
UW-Eau Claire fifth at 183.70 and Ithaca College sixth at
182.65.
