Titans Record Win Over 22nd-Ranked Saints

Box Score

UW-Oshkosh scored a pair of second-half goals to erase a halftime deficit and defeat The College of St. Scholastica (Minn.), 2-1, in a men's soccer match held Sunday (Oct. 11) in Duluth, Minn.

The College of St. Scholastica (11-2), an NCAA Division III postseason participant a year ago, entered the contest ranked 22nd in the country by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Averaging a nation-leading 5.3 goals per match, The College of St. Scholastica jumped to the early lead on a score by Kyle Farrar just seven minutes (6:19) into play. Farrar's 12th goal of the season followed passes from Jonny Harkin and Tom Corcoran.

Farrar's goal was the only score until UW-Oshkosh's Levi Corbeil-Wild tied the match in the 57th minute (56:37). Corbeil-Wild, who scored off a pass from David Radtke, tallied his first goal of the season on his only shot of the contest.

Both teams exchanged several shots in the minutes following the equalizing goal, but UW-Oshkosh was able to register the game winner with Radtke's kick in the 76th minute (75:56). Radtke latched on to a pass from Nick Gonzales and booted his shot into the back of the net for his first goal of the year.

UW-Oshkosh, which is now unbeaten in its last 12 matches (10-0-2 record), was held to a season-low nine shots. The two shots from both Radtke and Michael Dugan led the Titans (10-1-2).

The College of St. Scholastica totaled 14 shots – seven in each period. The Saints, who saw their eight-match winning streak end, were paced by Sean Morgan's three shots.

UW-Oshkosh goalkeeper Kevin Schenk saved two shots to earn his first win of the season. Schenk denied shots taken by Morgan in the 27th minute and Jonny Winter in the 32nd.

Sandy Davidson-Hunt blocked three shots while guarding the goal for The College of St. Scholastica. He stopped shots taken by UW-Oshkosh's Jacob Hernandez in the second minute, Radtke in the 55th and Jonathan Stanley in the 66th.

Both teams earned six corner kick opportunities.

UW-Oshkosh resumes its schedule at UW-Platteville next Saturday (Oct. 17).
