UW-Oshkosh won 10 of 13 events to defeat Lawrence University, 133-55, in a men's swimming & diving meet held Friday (Dec. 11) in Appleton.

Grady Hilgendorf and Tyler Shircel both took first place in a pair of individual events while swimming on a victorious relay team for the Titans.

Hilgendorf earned a pair of freestyle victories by recording times of 5:19.92 at 500 yards and 10:58.34 at 1,000. He also swam the final leg on UW-Oshkosh's 200-yard freestyle relay squad that posted a time of 1:40.97.

Shircel swam to winning times of 1:06.39 in the 100-yard breaststroke and 2:09.53 in the 200-yard individual medley. He also swam the second leg on the Titans' 200-yard medley relay group that recorded a time of 1:46.84.

Tyler Henke won both diving events, posting scores of 213.13 off the 1-meter board and 177.28 off the 3-meter plank.

The Titans also received individual wins from Zach Hogan and Myles Taylor. Hogan won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.66 seconds, while Taylor took first place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 57.13 seconds.

UW-Oshkosh's 200-yard freestyle relay team also included Jacob Casper, Sam Green and Ian Sewell. The Titans' 200-yard medley relay squad also featured Hogan, Taylor and Brandon Davison.

UW-Oshkosh took second place in three freestyle races, as Davison marked a time of 24.01 seconds at 50 yards, Green an effort of 53.01 seconds at 100, and Hogan a performance of 1:56.46 at 200.

Casper added a second-place time of 1:06.72 in the 100-yard breaststroke.

The Titans' third-place finishes included the times of 24.98 seconds by Casper in the 50-yard freestyle, 53.86 seconds by Davison in the 100-yard freestyle and 2:04.73 by Sewell in the 200-yard freestyle.

Other third-place finishes went to the Titans' Green in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:03.39 and Taylor in the 200-yard individual medley with a swim of 2:17.22.

UW-Oshkosh is off until it hosts UW-La Crosse on Jan. 23 in Albee Hall.
