Mike Gillespie earned wins at both No. 1 singles and doubles to lead the UW-Oshkosh men's tennis team to a 7-2 victory over Lawrence University on Wednesday (April 15) in Appleton.

Gillespie defeated David Jumes, 6-2, 6-4, and teamed with Aidan Sauberlich to oust Jumes and Sotaro Kurahashi by an 8-0 score.

UW-Oshkosh (6-11) also received individual wins from Logan Zastrow in the fourth flight, David Leffler in the fifth and David LaGrange in the sixth.

Zastrow edged Mitch Kasprzyk, 4-6, 6-0, 10-6, while Leffler defeated Adam Busch by a 6-3, 6-1 result. LaGrange posted a 6-4, 6-1 win over Izaya Turenne.

The Titans completed the sweep of the doubles competition by also winning contests in the second and third flights.

Vincent Gorski and Adam Martin recorded an 8-2 victory over Busch and Brian DeCorte at No. 2 doubles, while LaGrange and Zastrow marked an 8-0 triumph over Ethan Perushek and Ben Tomhave at No. 3.

Lawrence University (10-12) registered its only team points on wins by Kurahashi at No. 2 singles and DeCorte at No. 3 singles. Kurahashi defeated Sauberlich, 6-4, 6-2, while DeCorte ousted Martin, 6-3, 6-1.

UW-Oshkosh travels to Eau Claire for a match against 25th-ranked UW-Whitewater on Friday (April 17).
