OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh men's swimming & diving team opened the 2024-25 campaign at its home pool in Albee Hall & Pool on Saturday (Oct. 12), facing off against the defending WIAC champion UW-Eau Claire Blugolds.

The Titans, who claimed seven top-three finishes, fell to Eau Claire by a score of 184-50.

Damen Seremet (Jr. • Beaver Dam) placed second in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.24 seconds. He also claimed a third-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:01.93.

Elias Landolt (So. • McFarland) and
Luke Giles (So. • Oswego, Ill.) also grabbed top-three spots. Landolt finished the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:19.76 and Giles swam a 2:08.03 in the 200-yard individual medley.

Leo Ramirez-Gutierrez (So. • Schaumburg, Ill.)
Ben Knoeck (Sr. • Cottage Grove),
Drew Davis (Sr. • Libertyville, Ill.) and Seremet took third in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:31.52.

In the diving events,
Jacob Gordon (Fr. • St. Louis, Mo.) and
Glen Cole (So. • Milwaukee) took second and third in both. Gordon scored 203.75 in the 1-meter diving and 154.90 in the 3-meter, while Cole scored 184.90 and 147.70.

The Titans return to the pool next Saturday (Oct. 19) for the Wisconsin Showcase Invite hosted by Division I Milwaukee at the Schroeder Aquatic Center in Brown Deer. The first event is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
