WAUKESHA, Wis. - On Saturday (Oct. 26), the UW-Oshkosh men's swimming and diving team defeated Carroll University in a dual meet by a score of 140.5-56.5.
The men started off the meet by winning the 400-yard medley relay. The team of
CJ Willert (Jr. • Eau Claire),
Damen Seremet (Jr. • Beaver Dam),
Leo Ramirez-Gutierrez (So. • Schaumberg, Ill.), and
Ben Knoeck (Sr. • Cottage Grove) finished in a time of 3:45.90. The Titans proceeded to sweep the 1,650-yard freestyle, with
Elias Landolt (So. • McFarland) winning in a time of 18:35.76.
Ethan DeGroot (Jr. • New Hope, Minn.) was second in a time of 19:48.22, and Seremet was third in a time of 19:48.87. Knoeck finished second in the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:53.85, and
Drew Davis (Sr. • Bakersfield, Calif.) was right behind him for third in a time of 1:56.54.
The Titans took the top two spots in the 50-yard freestyle, with Ramirez-Gutierrez winning in a time of 22.55 and
Law Lykins (So. • Ellijay, Ga.) taking second in 23.64. The Titans swept the 400-yard individual medley, with
Charlie Mason (Fr. • Algonquin, Ill.) taking the win in a time of 4:35.48.
Luke Giles (So. • Oswego, Ill.) was second in a time of 4:40.75, and Willert was third in a time of 5:03.98. The Titans swept their third event of the day in the 100-yard butterfly, with
Julian Koller (So. • Hartland) winning in a time of 57.34.
Grant Stahlback (Fr. • Monticello, Minn.) was second with 58.31, and
Ethan Kluck (Fr. • New Berlin) was third with 1:02.54.
The Titans finished in second and third in the 100-yard freestyle, with Davis in second with 52.01, and Giles in third with 52.43. The Titans proceeded to sweep their fourth event of the day in the 100-yard backstroke, with Ramirez-Gutierrez winning in 57.77. Willert followed in second in 59.22, and Lykins tied for third in 1:00.22.
The Titans swept for the fifth time in the 500-yard freestyle, led by Knoeck in 5:20.03. Landolt was second in 5:34.15, and DeGroot was third in 5:51.62. Seremet won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:02.34, with Mason in third in a time of 1:08.08. The Titans' 400-yard freestyle relay team of Lykins, Mason, Giles, and Davis finished in second in a time of 3:26.09.
The Titans return Saturday (Nov. 2), as they travel to face NCAA Division I Green Bay.
