WAUKESHA, Wis. - On Saturday (Oct. 26), the UW-Oshkosh women's swimming and diving team beat Carroll University in a dual meet by a score of 128-76.
The Titans started off strong, taking first in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:25.57. The team consisted of
Sienna Della-Peruta (So. • Grayslake, Ill.),
Kylee Dinninger (So. • DeWitt, Mich.),
Rowan Sinclair (Fr. • Temecula, Calif.), and
Bella Cichon (So. • Manhattan, Ill.).
Elizabeth Fritz (So. • Mokena, Ill.) picked up a third-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle in a time of 20:53.35. Sinclair and
Brianna Wesenberg (Jr. • Ripon) finished in the top two spots for the 200-yard freestyle, with Sinclair winning in 2:03.57 and Wesenberg finishing in 2:06.93. For the 50-yard freestyle,
Kori Burnett (Fr. • Beloit) took second in a time of 26.43.
Della-Peruta won the 400-yard individual medley in a time of 5:06.97. Sinclair won her third event of the day in the 100-yard butterfly in a time of 1:02.78.
Grace Fergus (Sr. • Sugar Grove, Ill.) took third in that event as well, finishing in 1:04.47.
Julie Innerebner (So. • Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.) finished in second for the 100-yard freestyle in a time of 57.18, with
Elsa Piering (Fr. • Hartland) right behind her in third in 59.95.
The Titans swept the 100-yard backstroke, led by Della-Peruta for her third win of the day in 1:04.15.
Cadence Showalter (Sr. • Naperville, Ill.) was second in 1:05.16 and
Payton Purdy (Fr. • Sterling, Ill.) was third in 1:05.58.
Bee Ecklund (So. • Elgin, Ill.) picked up a win in the 500-yard freestyle, winning in 5:43.47.
The Titans picked up another sweep in the 100-yard breaststroke, with Purdy leading the way in a time of 1:17.77. Wesenberg was second in 1:18.37, and Dinninger was third in 1:19.21. The Titans finished off the meet in a second place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay in a time of 3:54.51. The team consisted of Showalter, Burnett, Piering, and Wesenberg.
The Titans return Saturday (Nov. 2), as they travel to face NCAA Division I Green Bay.
