GREEN BAY, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's swimming & diving team traveled to Green Bay on Saturday (Nov. 2), competing against NCAA Division I Green Bay at the Peter F. Dorschel Natatorium.
The Titans, who took first in the 100-yard freestyle, and owned ten top-3 finishes, fell to the Phoenix, 59-178.
Francesca Schiro (Sr. • New Glarus) won the 100-yard freestyle with a finish time of 54.28.
In the 200-yard freestyle,
Rowan Sinclair (Fr. • Temecula, Calif.) finished with a time of 2:00.09, taking second, while
Bee Ecklund (So. • Elgin Ill.) followed third at 2:08.84.
Cadence Showalter (Sr. • Naperville, Ill) took third in the 200-yard individual medley with 2:22.43.
Both Sinclair and Showalter finished in the 200-yard butterfly in the top-3 as well, with times of 2:14.25 and 2:21.17 respectively, earning the second and third place spots on the podium.
Sienna Della-Peruta (So. • Grayslake, Ill) grabbed third with a 2:16.60 finish in the 200-yard backstroke.
The 500-yard freestyle saw two Titans take top-3 positions.
Brianna Wesenberg (Jr. • Ripon) finished second at 5:45.23, with
Layla Ogango (So. • Leesburg, Va.) taking third with 6:01.81.
The 200-yard freestyle relay squad of Schiro, Showalter, Sinclair and
Kori Burnett (Fr. • Beloit) took second in the event in 1:43.31.
The Titans return next Friday (Nov. 8) when they travel to Whitewater to take on the Warhawks in a WIAC matchup. The first event begins at 5 p.m.
