EAU CLAIRE, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's swimming & diving team opened its 2025-26 campaign on the road in Eau Claire on Saturday (Oct. 11), facing off against the defending WIAC champion UW-Eau Claire Blugolds at the McPhee Center Pool.

The Titans earned eight top-three finishes while falling to UW-Eau Claire with a final score of 178-65.

The 200-yard medley relay squad consisting of
Payton Purdy (Sterling, Ill./Rock Falls),
Ashley Celentano (Cary, Ill./Prairie Ridge),
Kacie Stamm (Neenah/Neenah), and
Elsa Piering (Hartland/Arrowhead Union) earned the first top-three placement with a 1:51.74, second-place finish.

Kori Burnett (Beloit/Beloit Memorial) took third in both the 50- and 100-yard freestyle races, with times of 26.9 and 58.38 seconds, respectively.

Rowan Sinclair (Temecula, Calif./Great Oak) finished the 100-yard butterfly in 1:03.64, placing second.

Sienna Della-Peruta (Grayslake, Ill./Grayslake Central) won the 100-yard backstroke with a 1:02.28 finish.
Callee DeBruin (Kimberly/Seton Home Study School) won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:27.88. DeBruin also placed second in the 1,000 yard freestyle, finishing in 11:19.88

On the diving board,
Maya Indiraraj (West Bend/West Bend West) placed third place in the 3-meter dive by scoring 194.95 points.

The Titans return to the pool on Saturday, October 18 for the Wisconsin Showcase Invite hosted by Division I Milwaukee. Diving events will begin at 10 a.m. at the Racine Unified School District Aquatic Center while swimming will begin at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center in Kenosha at 11 a.m.
