Student-Athlete Spotlight: Drew Davis, UW-Oshkosh

Why did you choose UW-Oshkosh?
I chose UW-Oshkosh for the four seasons since California only has two, hot and hotter. I also chose UWO because I was given the opportunity to swim at a collegiate level and pursue my major in electrical engineering.

What other clubs/organizations on campus are you involved in?
Engineering Club

What do you like most about competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and being a NCAA Division III student-athlete?
I love the comradery with my teammates and other swimming team members.

Some of my teammates and I go to the Rec-Plex dome and play soccer or football.

I look up to my dad.

Do you have any words of advice for younger/upcoming student-athletes?
Don't quit.

Determined.

What is your dream job?
Electrical Engineer

Three things on your "bucket list"?
---Beat the 200-yard freestyle school record.
---Visit Germany.
---Try snowboarding.

A non-athletic talent that you have is?
I am a pretty good masseuse.

Do you have any pre-game/pre-event superstitions or rituals? If so, what are they?
I listen to music before all my races and right before or on the blocks I will raise both my hands up above my head and slam them into my thighs. I do this so my parents know that it is me.
