Titans Look To Win Fourth Straight National Title

UW-Oshkosh will compete for the fourth straight and sixth NCGA championship in program history on Saturday

OSHKOSH, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics, the three-time defending national champion, will travel to Saint Peter, Minnesota to compete in the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) Championship on Saturday (March 22).

Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) will host the meet at Gus Young Court at 2 p.m. on Saturday. Gymnasts will be competing for the team and five individual (vault, uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise, all-around) national titles.

The Titans are making their fifth straight appearance in the national championship as a team. They won the 2022, 2023, and 2024 titles and placed fourth in the 2019 meet. The 2020 and 2021 championships were cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. In 19 total championship appearances, Oshkosh has also collected NCGA titles in 1989 and 2007 and owns seven national championships overall. The first two came at the 1980 Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women AIAW and the 1986 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics NAIA championships.

UW-Oshkosh won its fifth consecutive and 19th overall WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional on Saturday, March 8 with a meet-record score of 193.925 points. UW-La Crosse finished second to claim the WIAC's other automatic bid to the national championship with 192.975 points.

Amaya McConkay (Jr. • Broken Arrow, Okla.) and McGibboney rank first and second on the uneven bars while Sam Zeilinger (Sr. • Wheaton, Ill.) is sixth. On the balance beam, Delaney Cienkus (Sr. • Plainfield, Ill.), the 2025 WIAC Gymnast of the Year, ranks second and is followed in fifth by Lydia Hayden (Jr. • Broomfield, Colo.). Jay Ratkowski (So. • Franklin) leads Oshkosh in the floor exercise in sixth and Cienkus is eighth.
