GREENWOOD, Ind.- Matt Imig and
Reed Seckar were both named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team on Tuesday (March 25).
Imig (Jr. • Ashwaubenon) and Seckar (Jr. • Oshkosh) each earned their first career honor from the CSC.
Imig, a physical education major with a 3.58 cumulative grade-point average, played in 25 games, shooting 44.6 percent from the field and 42.1 percent from three in 13.2 minutes off the bench. He scored a career high 17 points against UW-La Crosse on February 15.
Seckar owns a 3.78 cumulative GPA as a physical education major. He played in 25 games and started Oshkosh's final 12 games of the campaign, averaged 4.7 points per game on 37.6 percent shooting from the field and 78.9 percent from three. He scored double-digit points six times including a career high 13 points in back-to-back games at UW-Platteville and against UW-Whitewater on January 11 and January 15 respectively.
UW-Oshkosh (13-13) tallied wins over a pair of top 25 teams in nonconference play, defeating then-No. 9 Calvin University (Mich.) in the Heidelberg University Ron Linhart Memorial Tournament on November 15 and then-No. 12 Keene State College (N.H.) in the UW-Oshkosh BSN Winter Classic on December 29. Conference wins came at then-No. 17 UW-Stevens Point, against UW-River Falls, and at UW-Whitewater this season before the Titans qualified for the WIAC Tournament (presented by Culver's) for the 22nd time in program history.
The 2025 CSC Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
