NEW ORLEANS- Brenna Masloroff (Franklin/Franklin) was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association's (USTFCCCA) North Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year on Thursday afternoon (May 29) after she scored 36 points across UW-Oshkosh's 2025 postseason meets.

Masloroff finished as the runner-up in both the hammer throw and shot at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in Geneva, Ohio last week. Earlier in the season, Masloroff scored 20 points in throwing events at the WIAC Championship (presented by Culver's) in Oshkosh, which included a victory in the hammer throw, a runner-up finish in the shot put, and a seventh place effort in the discus throw.

Past region outdoor athletes of the year from UW-Oshkosh include
Ayla (Mitchell) Helland (Track-2009),
Ellie (Sitek) Bogdanske (Field-2010),
Christy Cazzola (Track-2011, 2012, 2013, 2014),
Holly (Ozanich) Cappelle (Field-2011), and Brenna Strupp (Field-2014). Helland, Bogdanske, and Cappelle were inducted into the UW-Oshkosh Athletics Hall of Fame in 2021, 2022, and 2023 respectively, while Cazzola will be inducted with the 2025 class.

Each of the ten regions – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, West – honored both genders' top track athletes and field athletes as well as the top men's and women's head coaches and assistant coaches.

Award winners were determined by a vote of USTFCCCA member coaches. Only those individuals from USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
