Titans Hiring Program Operations Manager

OSHKOSH, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh Athletics is now hiring for its open program operations manager position.

The athletics program operations manager is a terminal, fixed-term appointment responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for departmental operations, with key responsibilities in event management, facility scheduling, and coordination throughout the department and our campus. This individual will also oversee the planning and execution of home athletic events, ensuring a high-quality experience for student-athletes, coaches, officials, and guests.

Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree, a demonstration of experience with day-to-day management of a facility or operation, customer service experience, and an ability and willingness to work nights and weekends. One to three years of working experience within intercollegiate athletics, a demonstration of effective interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations, and administrative skills are all preferred qualifications.

Key responsibilities include: representing the university and department positively when interacting with community, alumni, media, and general public; managing logistics, securing resources, and finalizing team scheduling of facilities and travel for games, practices, camps, clinics, and special events; monitoring the unit or program budget in collaboration with the unit business officer, recommending equipment purchases, and managing submission of expense reporting when appropriate; exercising supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 full-time equivalent employees; coordinating and collaborating with each team to organize travel details and ensuring compliance with applicable state and university rules; evaluating existing strategies, policies, and procedures and making recommendations to unit leadership for program enhancement; and ensuring compliance with existing requirements.
