Wade Peitersen joined UW-Oshkosh in 1999 after serving as assistant athletic trainer at UW-Stevens Point for two years. Prior to his tenure at Stevens Point, Peitersen was the director of training and conditioning at Peak Performance Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine in Oshkosh from 1995 to 97.

Wade completed his master's degree in Sports Medicine (1995) at Western Michigan University and his bachelor's degree in Physical Education (1994) at UW-Oshkosh. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association and the College Athletic Trainer's Society.

Peitersen and his wife, Sheri, have two children and reside in Neenah.
