Lauren Freeck

Lauren Freeck enters her first year as a staff athletic trainer with UW-Oshkosh Athletics in 2024-25.
 
No stranger to the WIAC, Freeck earned her bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science from UW-La Crosse in 2023 and her master's degree in athletic training in 2025. She spent two years in the Eagles' athletics department as an athletic training student, working with the baseball, women's basketball, football, women's soccer, and softball programs after obtaining her first athletic training experience with Holmen High School.
 
During her graduate program, Freeck served as a graduate instructor in the UW-La Crosse exercise and sport science department, taught a pair of classes and served as a tutor for a third.
 
In her final six months of the second year immersion, Freeck joined the staff at Viterbo University, where she served the athletic training needs of all 19 of the V-Hawks' varsity athletic programs.
 
Along with numerous certifications including from the American Red Cross and the American College of Surgeons, Freeck is a member of the UW-La Crosse Athletic Trainers' Association, the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers' Association, the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association, and the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
 
Freeck was a member of the UW-La Crosse women's soccer team in 2019, playing two matches as goalkeeper.
 
Freeck's primary sports of coverage are men's and women's wrestling and men's track & field.
