Halverson enters his third year as the Titans' sports information director in 2025-26 and fourth overall with UW-Oshkosh Athletics.
Halverson is responsible for every aspect of the athletic program's media relations strategy. He handles all media requests and hosts media members at UW-Oshkosh's home events. Halverson produces all of the athletic program's publications, including media guides and game programs and supervises all student-produced broadcasts of home Titan athletic events. He maintains team statistics and records and is responsible for forwarding relevant information to the NCAA, WIAC, and other governing organizations. He manages the athletic program's website, uwoshkoshtitans.com, and spearheaded the website's redesign and transition to SIDEARM in the summer of 2024.
Halverson has coordinated media coverage of men's basketball, women's basketball, softball and women's volleyball NCAA Regional events and for numerous WIAC Championship events and is an active member of the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Halverson is a member of UW-Oshkosh's Hall of Fame Selection Committee, which is responsible for selecting past student-athletes, staff members, and contributors to receive the athletic program's most distinguished honor. Halverson and retired UW-Oshkosh Sports Information Director Kennan Timm, a member of the 2012 CSC and 2021 UW-Oshkosh Athletics hall of fame classes, planned the two-day 50th Celebration in 2024.
Before being promoted to sports information director, Halverson was the assistant sports information director for the Titans in 2022-23, serving as the main point of contact for half of the Titans' intercollegiate programs.
A 2022 UW-La Crosse graduate with a bachelor's degree in sport management and a minor in photography, Halverson worked as a media relations assistant in the UW-La Crosse Athletics Department for three years. He assisted in stat-keeping, website maintenance, and social media coverage of events.
Halverson also worked with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers as the social media, marketing, and community relations intern. He assisted with the organization's content creation and community outreach efforts.
Halverson, a native of Hortonville, lives in Oshkosh.
