Ryan Hanna (Fr. • Verona) scored the match-winning goal late in the second half as the UW-Oshkosh men's soccer team battled back to defeat St. Norbert College, 2-1, on Wednesday (Oct. 6) in De Pere.

Hanna tallied his decisive goal off a pass from Mike Franzen (Sr. • Sussex) with 7:11 left in regulation. Hanna's goal broke a 1-1 stalemate that stood for a little over 56 minutes of activity.

St. Norbert College (3-8) took a 1-0 lead when Kevin Conrath converted a direct kick from just outside the top of the penalty box in the 16th minute (15:57) of play. Conrath's goal was the first scored against UW-Oshkosh in nine matches and a total time of nearly 806 minutes (805:49).

UW-Oshkosh, ranked 13th in the NCAA Division III by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, tied the score on a goal by Devon Prideaux (Sr. • Eden Prairie, Minn.) in the 27th minute (26:52). Robby Giljohann (Jr. • Pewaukee) was credited with an assist on the goal by Prideaux.

UW-Oshkosh (11-0-1) held advantages of 10-5 in shots and 7-1 in corner kicks. The Titans were led by the two shots of both Hanna and Tony Starnes (So. • Green Bay). The Green Knights were paced by the two shots of Petro Czerniak.

UW-Oshkosh goalkeeper James Pike (Jr. • Waukesha) saved one St. Norbert College shot. The goal allowed by Pike was his first in nearly 638 minutes (637:49) of action.

St. Norbert College goalkeeper Noah Davis saved two shots and yielded both UW-Oshkosh goals.

UW-Oshkosh, which improved to 22-5-1 against St. Norbert College, visits UW-Superior on Saturday (Oct. 9).
