Scoring five goals in the second half, the UW-Oshkosh men's soccer team trounced Finlandia University (Mich.), 7-0, on Sunday (Oct. 30) at J.J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium. It was UW-Oshkosh's third 7-0 victory of the season, with the others being over Marian University on Sept. 14 and Finlandia University on Sept. 18.

Ryan Hanna (So. • Verona) started things off for the Titans (10-5-2/5-2 WIAC) by scoring in the eighth (7:10) and 42nd (41:04) minute of play. Hanna's first goal came off a pass from Tim Stadler (Sr. • Wauwatosa) while his second came off a serve from Erik White (So. • East Troy). The goals were the third and fourth of the season for Hanna.

White gave UW-Oshkosh a 3-0 lead when he scored off a pass from Daniel Fisher (Fr. • Middleton) in the contest's 59th minute (58:27). The goal was White's third of the season.

Ryan Redmond (So. • Lake Elmo, Minn.) put UW-Oshkosh ahead 4-0 and 6-0 with goals in the 65th (64:25) and 76th (75:55) minute, respectively. Redmond, who has four goals on the season, received an assist on his first score against the Lions from White.

UW-Oshkosh's remaining goals were scored by Danny Karrels (Fr. • Port Washington) in the 73rd minute (72:44) and Danny Kobin (Fr. • Cedarburg) in the 85th (84:10). Karrels third goal of the season was assisted by Redmond, while Kobin's second goal of the year was assisted by Carlos Alcantara (Fr. • Minneapolis, Minn.).

UW-Oshkosh took all 36 shots in the match and nine of the contest's 10 corner kicks. Redmond and Jonathan Fox (Fr. • Brooklyn) both attempted six shots and Karrels five for the Titans.

UW-Oshkosh had four players guard its goal - James Pike (Sr. • Wauwatosa) for 7:10, Taylor Zyvoloski (Fr. • Port Washington) for 33:53, Nick Barry (Fr. • Wheaton, Ill.) for 28:56 and Joey Wedderspoon (So. • Verona) for 20:01. Miguel Gamez played the entire match for Finlandia University (3-10/0-7 WIAC) and saved 13 shots.

The Titans close their 2011 season at UW-Whitewater on Friday (Nov. 4).
