Each week during the 2021-22 academic year, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will feature two student-athletes (one male and one female) from one of its eight institutions for a "Student-Athlete Spotlight" Q & A segment. The segments, presented by Culver's, will be also posted every Thursday on the WIAC website.

Year in school: Senior (Graduate Student)
Sport: Softball

Why did you choose to attend UW-Oshkosh?
I chose UW-Oshkosh because it gave me opportunities to play softball as well as get a high-quality education. UW-Oshkosh also felt like a home away from home since the moment I arrived on campus.
What other clubs/organizations on campus are you involved in?
I have been involved with UW-Oshkosh's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Kinesiology Club.
What causes do you care about?
One of the causes I care about is Special Olympics. As a team we have volunteered to help run some of their activities and it has been really rewarding to be a part of.
What do you like most about competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and being a NCAA Division III student-athlete?
The best part about competing in the WIAC is that the games are always exciting. The competition within our conference is some of the best in the nation and it really prepares us to compete at a high level. Being a Division III student-athlete has been a great experience. I have been able to continue playing the sport I love while receiving a good education.

What is your greatest sports moment?
Hitting a home run against UW-Whitewater in the conference tournament my freshman season.
What is the best thing that you bring to the team?
I would say the best qualities I bring to the team are my energy and hard work.
Do you have any words of advice for younger/upcoming student-athletes?
Don't give up on your dream; work hard to achieve what you want. You don't have to be the best player on the team to give 100% effort day in and day out.
What is your favorite thing to do off the court/field with your teammates?
We enjoy hanging out with each other and going to get ice cream.
If you could trade places for a day with a person, who would it be and why?
Meredith Grey. I would love to be married to Derek Shepherd and be the star of Grey's Anatomy.
What is your dream job?
Being an orthopedic surgeon.
Three things on your "bucket list"?
Go Skydiving
Travel to Greece
Go to the World Series when the Chicago Cubs are playing in it
Do you have any pre-game/pre-event superstitions or rituals? If so, what are they?
I don't have any.

Being late.
