UW-Platteville received the opening kickoff and reached the Oshkosh 10-yard line on a 40-yard catch before stalling out and settling for a 26-yard field goal. UW-Oshkosh also reached the Pioneer 10 and looked to go up 6-3 before Lovelace's rush was called a fumble in the end zone for a touchback. The Pioneers however could not escape their half of the field and punted to Oshkosh's 35 which turned into the 50 on a kick catch interference call. Mobley connected on his field goal at the end of the drive, tying the game up at 3-3 with 1:25 left in the first quarter.

Jon Mathieu (Jr. • Sheboygan Falls) for a fair catch at the Oshkosh 14-yard line. Tetzlaff caught two passes for 11 and seven yards before throwing a short 2-yard pass to Little, who showed why he is a six-time track & field All-American by blowing past the defense for a 68-yard score, giving the Titans a 17-10 edge with 2:50 remaining in the quarter. A quick three-and-out gave the ball back to Oshkosh before the period ended.

After another punt for Ratliff, UW-Platteville turned the ball over on downs at the Oshkosh 15-yard line when Priami was hurried by
Caleb Noennig (Sr. • Crystal Lake, Ill.) and threw a pass that was broken up by
