OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's volleyball team defeated Lawrence University, 3-0, on Tuesday night (Oct. 8). Tuesday was also Parent/Senior Night, all student-athletes' parents and the six seniors were honored before the match began.

Robyn Kirsch (Sr. • Wausau),
Olivia Breunig (Sr. • Sauk Prairie),
Abby Fregien (Sr. • Waukesha) and
Joslyn Wolff (Sr. • Reeseville) were recognized pre-match and will graduate this academic year with degrees in chemistry, rehabilitation science, rehabilitation science and chemistry respectively. Fifth-year seniors
Kalli Mau (Fifth • Kimberly) and
Riley Kindt (Fifth • Brookfield) both earned their nursing degrees last year.

The
No. 7 nationally ranked Titans (17-4, 2-1 WIAC) won the first two sets over the Vikings (6-15, 1-1 MWC) by scores of 25-7 and took the third set 26-24.

UW-Oshkosh hit .455 across the match, totaling 40 kills to Lawrence's 24 and led in every other statistical category. Oshkosh led 37-20 in assists, 9-3 in points from the service line, 42-30 in digs and recorded all five total blocks.

Wolff led the Titans with seven kills. Kindt recorded six while Breunig and Kirsch both notched five. All four hit at least .444 with Wolff registering a team-high .583 with at least five attacks.

Mau was Oshkosh's leading setter, recording 19. Fregien dug 16 attacks with three aces. Kindt,
Hannah Moe (Jr. • Oconto) and
Lauren Grier (So. • Fond du Lac) blocked two attacks each.

UW-Oshkosh jumped out to 4-0 leads in the first and second sets, never letting the Vikings close again. The Titans extended their lead in both sets with three runs of at least four points while not allowing Lawrence to score more than a point at a time.

Freshmen,
Ava Krueger (Fr. • Marathon),
Riley Borrowman (Fr. • Oswego, Ill.),
Gabbie Friessen (Fr. • Hinton, Iowa),
Claire Pedretti (Fr. • Onalaska), and
Brooklyn Tortorice (Fr. • Cottage Grove) all played significant time in the third set. Pedretti, Borrowman, and Tortorice all recorded two kills in the set. The Titans and Vikings traded points throughout, neither team leading by more than two points. A 4-0 Oshkosh spurt kicked off by
Emmy Wizceb's (So. • Johnsburg, Ill.) kill put the Titans up 16-14 and they led until the Vikings went up 22-21 and 24-23 late. Tortorice notched two kills and Pedretti one as Oshkosh scored the final three points of the set and match, completing the sweep.

The Titans return to the court on Friday and Saturday (Oct. 11-12), playing Wheaton College (Ill.) (9-7, 0-3 CCIW) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Augustana College (Ill.) (7-11, 1-3 CCIW) at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the UW-Stevens Point Papa Johns Invite.
