EAU CLAIRE, Wis.-Â The UW-Oshkosh men's wrestling team competed in its first WIAC matchup of the year against the No. 4 UW-Eau Claire Blugolds on Thursday (Nov. 14). The Blugolds defeated the Titans 54-0.
Camden Harms (So. • Mahomet, Ill.) lost by major decision (10-2) against Brody Perry in the 285-lb. matchup. In the 141-lb. match,
Logan Harel (Jr. • Cadott) lost by major decision (13-0) to Drew Kested.
Andrew Schad (Jr. • Kiel) was bested by technical fall (20-3) by Travis Moelter in the 133-lb. class.
Jacob Hibbard (Fr. • Mishicot) also lost by technical fall (22-3) at 157-lbs.
Vincent Bird (Fr. • Oshkosh) and
Kyle Rasper (So. • Johnsburg, Ill.) each fell to the No. 1-ranked wrestler at 184- and 174-lbs., respectively.
Desmond Walker (Fr. • Oshkosh),
JP Culver (So. • Vicksburg, Mich.),
Leonardo Ruggiero (So. • Rome, Italy), and
Ryan Bergman (Fr. • Watertown) dropped their matches to their Blugold opponents
The Titans return next Thursday (Nov. 21) to face No. 3 UW-La Crosse at home.
