GREENWOOD, Ind.- Five members of the UW-Oshkosh men's wrestling team earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team honors on Tuesday (June 16).
Camden Harms (Mahomet, Ill./Mahomet-Seymour) and
Leonardo Ruggiero (Rome, Italy/Madison West) were named Academic All-District® for the second consecutive year while
Ryan Bergman (Watertown/Watertown),
Joseph Spizzirri (Palatine, Ill./Palatine) and
Desmond Walker (Oshkosh/Winneconne) earned the award for the first time.
Harms is a mechanical engineering technology major with a 3.71 cumulative grade-point average. He went 10-11 at 285 pounds this season and won by fall three times.
Ruggiero owns a 3.58 cumulative GPA as a graphic design major. He won six of his 19 matches at 149 pounds and earned one win by fall.
A physical education major, Bergman owns a 3.55 cumulative GPA. He went 18-14 at 165 pounds with four pins, including a season-best 53-second pin over UW-Platteville's Dawson Klefstad. Bergman paced the Titans at the NCAA Division III Region VII Championship with a fourth-place finish.
Spizzirri is a physical education major with a 3.60 cumulative GPA. He won two matches at 165 pounds this winter with one win by fall.
Walker, an elementary and middle school education major, owns a 3.88 cumulative GPA. He competed in the 197-pound class all season and posted a 5-22 record with one pin fall.
This season, the Titans went 2-10 in dual competition, finishing sixth at the WIAC Championship (presented by Culver's) and placing 12th at the Division III regional championship.
The 2026 CSC Academic All-District® Men's At-Large Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the mat and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Wednesday, July 8.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
