RIVER FALLS, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh football team traveled up to UW-River Falls to take on the Falcons in its regular season finale on Saturday (Nov. 16).

The Titans (6-4, 4-3 WIAC), ranked 19th in this week's D3football.com poll and 23rd by the American Football Coaches Association, passed to 13.1 yards per completions to the Falcons' (7-3, 4-3 WIAC), receiving votes in both polls, 11.0. Titan quarterback
Brooks Blount (Fifth • Waukesha) completed 15-of-31 passing attempts for 197 yards and a touchdown. UW-Oshkosh's rushers ran the ball 28 times for 73 yards, averaging 2.6 yards per rush, adding Oshkosh's second score of the day.

Justice Lovelace (So. • Kenosha) carried the ball 21 times and gained 77 yards with a long of 18 yards while adding a catch for 12 yards. Blount, who rushed six times, put the ball over the goal line for UW-Oshkosh's touchdown on the ground.

Cade Oiler (Sr. • Watertown) and
Trae Tetzlaff (Sr. • Waukesha) both caught five passes in the contest, and both registered over 50 yards. Oiler recorded a team-high 83 receiving yards while Tetzlaff had 54.
Jon Mathieu (Jr. • Sheboygan Falls) caught a 29-yard touchdown, later adding another 10 yards on his second reception.

Defensively,
Bryce Hinn (Sr. • Oshkosh) led UW-Oshkosh with 10 tackles (five solo), including a 5-yard tackle-for-loss. He also recorded one of Oshkosh's three forced fumbles.
Eli Curry (Fr. • Geneva, Ill.) had three tackles (two solo) and two pass breakups while
Ben Wellhoefer (Jr. • Omro) paired an interception with nine tackles (five solo).

Neither teams scored in the first four possession with three changing hands on punts and another swapped on a missed 36-yard field goal for the Falcons. River Falls jumped ahead 7-0 on a 14-yard touchdown with 3:42 remaining in the first quarter.

The Titans retained possession through the end of the first period and tied the game at 7-7 two plays into the second quarter when Blount and Mathieu connected for 29 yards. After two exchanges on downs, River Falls scored again on a 23-yard touchdown with 2:53 left in the half.

UW-Oshkosh received the opening kickoff of the second half and crossed the 50-yard line before stalling out and punting to the Falcons' four. UW-River Falls increased its edge to 14 points at 5:52, rushing 30 yards to the end zone.
Walleye Ratliff (So. • Cincinnati, Ohio) punted on the Titans' following two possessions.

The Falcons ate up over half of the final quarter with a 16-play drive, eventually going up 28-7 on a 2-yard rushing score. Blount pulled Oshkosh within two scores with 3:14 left in the game by rushing five yards to cap off a 6-play, 71-yard play drive.
