Titans Set For NCAA Quarterfinal Match With Blue Jays

UW-Oshkosh will compete in its seventh national quarterfinal on Wednesday

OSHKOSH, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's volleyball team, winner of an NCAA Division III regional championship for the second straight season, will face off with Johns Hopkins University (Md.) on Wednesday (Dec. 4) at 2 p.m. eastern time in the quarterfinal round of the 2024 Women's Volleyball Division III Championship.
 
The Titans (29-5) reached the national quarterfinal with wins over Marymount University (Va.), the University of Chicago (Ill.), and Illinois Wesleyan University during the Marietta, Ohio Regional. Oshkosh earned the No. 7 seed among the remaining eight teams and the Blue Jays (32-2) took the No. 2 seed with sweeps of Bridgewater State University (Mass.), Carnegie Mellon University (Pa.), and Ithaca College (N.Y.) in their regional tournament at home.
 
UW-Oshkosh is playing in its seventh NCAA quarterfinal in program history with previous appearances in 2023, 2009, 2008, 1996, 1994, and 1991.
 
No. 3 Emory University (Ga.) and No. 6 UW-Whitewater play the first match of the Elite Eight on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. eastern time. Following UW-Oshkosh's match with Johns Hopkins at 2 p.m., two-time defending national champion No. 1 Juniata College (Pa.) and No. 8 University of La Verne (Calif.) face at 4:30 p.m. and No. 4 Hope College (Mich.) and No. 5 Washington & Lee University (Va.) face at 7 p.m.
 
The winners of the Emory-Whitewater and Oshkosh-Johns Hopkins match play at 5 p.m. on Thursday night (Dec. 5) in the first semifinal match. Winners of Juniata-La Verne and Hope-Wash. & Lee face at 7:30 p.m. in the second.
 
After an off day, the semifinal match victors will play for the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship on Saturday (Nov. 7) at 4 p.m.
 
All matches of the final three rounds of the women's volleyball national championship will be broadcast exclusively on ESPN+ and require a subscription to access. Live stats will be available on NCAA.com.
