Titans Finish In Top Three For 11th Time In Program History

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.- Heading into the second day of the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship with a small first-place finish, the UW-Oshkosh men's track & field team grabbed eight All-America finishes on Saturday (March 9).

The Titans finished with a very strong third place position with 51 points. This is the 11th top-three score in school history for the men. UW-La Crosse won the meet with 74 points.

The men's heptathlon concluded with the final three events after the first four were completed on Friday (Mar. 8). Charlie Nolan (So. • Normal, Ill.) and RJ Bosshart (Sr. • Muskego) both claimed All-America honors, with Nolan taking fifth with 5,052 points and Bosshart taking eighth with 4,988 points. Also competing for the Titans were Payton White (Sr. • Berrien Springs, Mich.), Aden Sears (Jr. • Eureka, Ill.), and Cavan Dobberstein (Fr. • Manawa). White finished in 16th with 4,681 points, Sears finished in 17th with 4,416 points, and Dobberstein finished in 19th with 3,663 points.

JV Myles (Fr. • Germantown) represented the Titans in the triple jump, where he jumped 13.84 meters for 16th place. Isaiah Isom (So. • Lansing, Ill.) threw 15.79 meters for 17th place in the shot put.

The Titans qualified three athletes in the high jump: Caleb Cornelius (Jr. •Racine), Kyle Wisniewski (Fr. • New London), and Nolan. Cornelius and Wisniewski tied for third place, jumping 2.04 meters, and both received All-America honors.

In the 60-meter dash finals, Oshkosh captured three more All-America laurels. Davian Willems (So. • De Pere) was runner-up in a school record 6.71 seconds, besting his own mark by a hundredth of a second. Joey Kean (Sr. • Middleton) finished fifth in 6.79 seconds, and Danny Vinson grabbed sixth in 6.85 seconds. The three sprinters scored a combined 15 points for the team in this event.

Returning in the 200 meter dash final was Londyn Little (So. • Columbia, Ill.). Little captured his second All-America nod of the weekend with a program-record finish of 21.47 seconds for third place. He also bested his own record mark (21.65).
