Titans Win Four Events In Platteville

PLATTEVILLE, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh men's track & field team took home four event wins at the UW-Platteville Invitational on Friday and Saturday (April 12-13).

Dylan Gramley (So. • Plainfield, Ill.) and Danny Vinson (Jr. • Berrien Springs, Mich.) both qualified for the final round of the 100-meter dash. Gramley ran a 10.79 for sixth place and Vinson took seventh in 10.83 seconds.

In the 200-meter dash, Nolan Milas (Fr. • Virgil, Ill.) raced to sixth with a 22.18-second time.

Four Titans placed in the 800-meter run, led by Steven Potter (Sr. • Oak Creek) in second at 1:54.31. Reid Marquardt (Sr. • Peshtigo) took third in 1:54.71, Dwight Hosni (Jr. • Cedarburg) ran a 1:55.16 for fifth and Lucas Nicholson (Fr. • Pewaukee) finished in 1:56.33 for seventh.

Eli Traeder (Jr. • Cottage Grove) won Saturday's edition of the 5,000-meter run in 15:38.95 while Brady Lewis (Fr. • Cedarburg) took sixth in 15:56.61.

The Titans final place winners in individual track events were Weston Lerdal (Jr. • Neenah) with a 57.45-second seventh place finish in the 400-meter hurdles and Zach Nelson (Jr. • Mount Horeb) with a 10:28.93 time for fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.

The 4x100-meter relay, the Titans finished third and fourth with times of 41.28 and 41.57 seconds while the 4x400-meter relay squads took first in 3:12.97 and seventh in 3:20.15.

Caleb Cornelius (Jr. • Racine) won the high jump at 2.06 meters and both Charlie Nolan (So. • Normal, Ill.) and Kyle Wisniewski (Fr. • New London) cleared 2.00 meters to tie for fourth.

Zach Zirgibel (Jr. • Merton) led Oshkosh's three place winners on the pole vault with a second place height of 4.58 meters. Eli Tranel (Sr. • West Bend) vaulted 4.43 meters for third and Ethan Stukenberg (Fr. • Edwardsville, Ill.) had a best mark of 4.28 meters for eighth.

In the horizontal jumping events, Joshua Rivers (Sr. • Chicago, Ill.) won the long jump at 7.32 meters, Caleb Wright (So. • Oswego, Ill.) jumped 7.04 meters for fifth in the long jump and JV Myles (Fr. • Germantown) skipped to seventh in the triple jump with a distance of 13.83 meters.

Isaiah Isom (So. • Lansing, Ill.) casted 16.32 meters in the shot put for sixth place.

The Titans will return to the track on Thursday-Saturday (April 18-20) for the Indiana State Gibson Invitational, UW-La Crosse Phil Esten Challenge and the Lawrence University Viking Invitational.
