MILWAUKEE, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh men's swimming and diving team competed at the Wisconsin Showcase Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 18). While the event was non-scoring Oshkosh earned five top-10 finishes in individual swimming events and a fifth-place position in a relay event. In diving, the Titans had two top-five placements.

Due to ongoing updates at Schroeder Aquatic Center in Brown Deer, the diving events were held at the Racine Unified School District Aquatic Center in Mount Pleasant, and the swimming events were held at Carthage College's Koenitzer Aquatic Center in Kenosha.

In individual swimming events,
Charlie Mason (Algonquin, Ill./Jacobs) placed ninth in the 200-yard individual medley with a final time of 2:04.66, eighth in the 200-yard backstroke with a final time of 2:07.42, and eighth in the 400-yard individual medley with a 4:33.20 finish.

CJ Willert (Eau Claire/Eau Claire North) took 10th in the 100-yard backstroke with a final time of 58.00 while
Damen Seremet (Beaver Dam/Beaver Dam) placed eighth in the 100 yard-breaststroke in 1:00.65 and 10th in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:23.41.
Julian Koller (Hartland/Arrowhead Union) grabbed sixth with a time of 2:12.04.

The team of
Gavin Wicklander (Shakopee, Minn./Shakopee),
Nate Losch (Wind Lake/Muskego),
Leo Ramirez-Gutierrez (Schaumburg, Ill./Hoffman Estates), and Seremet placed fifth in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a final time of 1:29.93.

In the diving events,
Glen Cole (Milwaukee/Whitnall) placed fourth in 1-meter diving with a score of 203.18 and was followed by
Charley Cook (West St. Paul, Minn./Two Rivers) in fifth with 194.48 points.

The Titans are scheduled to be back in the water on Saturday, October 25 at Albee Hall & Pool for Parents Day, as they face the Carroll University Pioneers.
