MINNEAPOLIS- When D3football.com announced its team of the week on Tuesday (Oct. 7),
Kyle Dietzen (Omro/Omro) became the 10th player in UW-Oshkosh football history to earn the national honor at least twice in his career.
Â
Dietzen played an integral role in holding UW-River Falls, which came to Oshkosh averaging 56 points per game, to a season low 17 points on Saturday (Oct. 4). He recorded a career-high 18 tackles, including seven solo and a tackle for loss, in the Titans' 21-17 victory. His tackle-for-loss came in the fourth quarter, stopping the Falcons on fourth-and-1 on the Oshkosh 21-yard line.
Â
Dietzen, who was named to the team of the week after Week 6 of the 2024 season, extended UW-Oshkosh's streak of at least three national team of the week selections in a season to four on Tuesday, the longest in program history.
