EUREKA, Ill.- UW-Oshkosh women's basketball traveled south on Friday (Nov. 14) and handled Eureka College (Ill.), 83-33, at the Red Devils' Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena.

Ranked third in NCAA Division III by D3hoops.com and fifth by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association, the Titans tallied three 20-plus point quarters and held Eureka to two six-point quarters in the second half in the 50-point victory.

Paige Seckar (Oshkosh/Oshkosh West) was Oshkosh's top scorer in the contest with 17 points on 7-of-10 from the field, one three on one attempt, and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe. She was also one of three Titans with five rebounds.

The Titans' second highest scorer was Kate Huml (Janesville/Janesville Craig), who went 4-of-5 from the field, 1-of-1 from three, and 2-of-2 from the line while pulling down five rebounds and three steals.

Avery Poole (Cottage Grove/Monona Grove) and Mayah Holzhueter (Cambridge/Cambridge) both tallied 10 points and both went 4-of-4 on free throws. The duo recorded three rebounds and an assist apiece. Poole added a block and Holzhueter stole two possessions.

UW-Oshkosh shot 44.4 percent (28-of-63) from the field, 31.8 percent (7-of-22) from three, and 87 percent (20-of-23) from the free throw line. Forty of Oshkosh's points were tallied in the paint, 34 were scored by seven bench players, 19 came on fast breaks, and 14 were recorded on second chances.

Poole sank a three after the Titans won the tip for the only change of lead in the game. Seckar scored five points and Huml added two before Eureka scored for the first time. The teams traded eight baskets over the rest of the first quarter and Hope Barington (Sobieski/Notre Dame Academy) beat the buzzer with a layup to extend Oshkosh's lead to 20-10.

The Titans opened the second quarter with four points from Seckar and Poole and followed a Red Devil layup with seven more points to lead 31-12 with 6:23 left on the clock. Eureka tallied a game-long 6-0 run with back-to-back three-pointers between 3:37 and 2:44. Beyer then scored five points with a three and a fastbreak layup before Holzhueter made the last points of the half, creating a 40-21 deficit.

Starting at 7:54 in the third quarter, Oshkosh went on a 21-point tear that finished over eight minutes later. The Red Devils tallied a jump shot just before the minute mark and the Titans tacked on five free throws from Beyer, Barington, and Huml for a 68-27 edge.

With a comfortable 42-point lead at the start of the final period, Holzhueter converted a pair of layups and Olivia Argall (Dodgeville/Dodgeville) made a layup for the first points.
