OSHKOSH, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh football closed out the 2025 season by hosting nationally ranked UW-Whitewater at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium on Saturday (Nov. 15). The Warhawks scored all 17 points of the first half and added another touchdown after Oshkosh scored in the third quarter.

The Titans (5-5, 3-4 WIAC), receiving votes in both the
D3football.com and
American Football Coaches Association polls, posted a season-low 163 offensive yards with 69 yards on the ground and 94 yards in the air. They went 4-of-11 on third down chances, 1-of-2 on fourth down, and 1-of-1 in red zone trips. Whitewater, ranked 12th by D3football.com and 16th by the AFCA, accumulated 311 total yards (217 rushing, 94 passing), possessing the ball for over 37 minutes and going 9-of-17 on third downs with four successful red zone trips, while scoring the second-least point total on the season.

AJ Korth (Menasha/Menasha) spent most of the game under center, throwing for 100 yards and a touchdown on 6-of-16 attempts while being picked and being sacked twice each. He also paced Oshkosh on the ground with 45 yards on 11 rushes.

Doug Burson (Yorkville, Ill./Yorkville) was the Titans' second-leading rusher, gaining 31 yards on six attempts.

Kellan Mella (Plymouth/Plymouth) had the most receiving yards with 51,
Jon Mathieu (Sheboygan Falls/Sheboygan Falls) caught a team-high four passes for 27 yards and a touchdown.

Defensively,
Kyle Dietzen (Omro/Omro) yet again led Oshkosh in tackles. He recorded a total of nine with four solo.
Kenny Satori (Denmark/Denmark) registered a solo sack to go with his six total tackles and
Jake Shutter (Plymouth/Plymouth) and
Curtis Jaskulke (Stoughton/Stoughton) combined for the Titans' second sack.

The Warhawks received the opening kickoff and took up 7:02 of the clock with a 14-play drive that ended with a 2-yard touchdown pass. After an Oshkosh punt, Whitewater scored for the second time, driving 85 yards downfield to make the score 14-0 with 12:45 left in the second quarter.

Korth was intercepted in the succeeding drive, but the Warhawks turned the ball over on downs before Oshkosh lost a fumble on their 25-yard line that led to a 36-yard field goal for Whitewater.

The teams traded five unsuccessful drives in the last eight minutes of the half.

When Satori sacked the Warhawks' quarterback on third down with 10:05 left in the third quarter, it forced a punt that Mathieu fair caught at the Titans' 25. Over the next 3:11 and eight plays, Oshkosh worked its way into Whitewater territory and eventually scored when Korth connected with Mathieu for an 8-yard score.
Axel Vera Trejo (Appleton/Appleton East) made the extra point attempt to decrease the deficit to 17-7.

The Warhawks scored its final touchdown to cap off an 11-play possession and the Titans never broke within the Whitewater 30-yard line in the fourth quarter across two drives.

The Titans fell to a losing record against conference opponents for the first time since going 3-4 in conference play in 2010 with a 4-6 overall mark. They are now 30-82-5 against the Warhawks all-time, last winning in 2019.
