OSHKOSH, Wis.- Ricky Nelson, who owns a decade of experience with UW-Oshkosh Athletics, has returned to the Titans' sports information office as announced by UW-Oshkosh Sports Information Director Brady Halverson on Monday (Dec. 15).

"Thank you to all who played a role in my return to UW-Oshkosh", said Nelson. "My alma mater is where I have always wanted to be. Hail Titans!"

A 2014 graduate from Oshkosh with a degree in news/editorial journalism, Nelson previously served as the part-time assistant sports information director under 2021 UW-Oshkosh Hall of Fame inductee
Kennan Timm. The primary contact for a variety of sports over nine years, he created a wide variety of content for Titan Athletics, including releases, game programs and social media content. He also moderated press conferences, nominated for student-athletes at the conference, regional and national levels, assisted in hosting numerous postseason events, and assisted with the management and design of

While pursuing his undergraduate degree, Nelson served as a sports reporter for UW-Oshkosh's student newspaper, the Advance-Titan, for a year before being promoted to sports editor and then managing editor.
