WHITEWATER, Wis.- Garth Martell led UW-Oshkosh men's wrestling with a sixth-place finish at the 2025 WIAC Men's Wrestling Championship (presented by Culver's). UW-Whitewater hosted Saturday's (Feb. 15) league championship at its Williams Center.

UW-La Crosse won its 24th WIAC championship with 158.5 points, followed in second by UW-Eau Claire with 147.5 points and third by UW-Whitewater with 132.5. In fourth was UW-Stevens Point (64.5) and in fifth was UW-Platteville (25.5). UW-Oshkosh took sixth with 8.5 team points.

Martell (Fr. • Oshkosh) received a bye in the first round before falling to eventual 285-lb. bracket winner Michael Douglas of UW-La Crosse by 21-5 technical fall. After another round, he defeated UW-Platteville's Alex Ashauer in a 3-1 decision. Martell then moved on to the consolation semifinal match against Pointer Blake Flach where he lost 5-1. In the fifth place match, he lost to Whitewater's Isaak Smith, 7-5.

Brody Toledo (Fr. • Burlington) won a match in the 141-lb. bracket, defeating fellow Titan
Logan Harel (Jr. • Cadott) by fall in 57 seconds.
Roman Martell (So. • Oshkosh) took an 8-5 decision over Stevens Point's Logan Neitzel at 197-lbs.

The Titans will compete in the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championship, hosted by Augsburg University (Minn.) at the Auggies' Si Melby Hall on Feb. 28-March 1.
