MENOMONIE, Wis.- The UW-Oshkosh women's basketball team traveled to UW-Stout on Saturday (Feb. 22) for a regular season matchup with the Blue Devils.

No. 7/11 nationally ranked UW-Oshkosh (22-3, 11-3 WIAC) shot 21-of-50 (42 percent) from the field including 7-of-15 (46.7 percent) from three, and 14-of-18 (77.8 percent) from the line. The Titans also recorded 22 rebounds (seven offensive), 24 bench points, 22 points in the paint, and 16 points off the Blue Devils' (19-6, 10-4 WIAC) 13 turnovers.

Alex Rondorf (Grad. • West Bend) shot 3-of-7 from the field including 3-of-6 from three and 4-of-4 from the line for a team high 13 points.
Kate Huml (Jr. • Janesville) was Oshkosh's second double-digit scorer with 10 points, going 3-of-9 from the field and 4-of-4 from the line.

Kayce Vaile (Fifth • Greendale) and Huml combined for the first four points of the game. Stout ended the run at 4-0, however Oshkosh kept a small edge as the teams traded baskets through the end of the first quarter. Back-to-back 3-pointers for the Blue Devils made the score 17-16 in their favor headed into the second period.

UW-Stout extended its lead to six points on a 5-point spurt with 6:40 left in the second quarter. The Blue Devils led by as much as nine points in the period before
Paige Seckar (Fr. • Oshkosh) started a 6-2 run for Oshkosh in the last 2:14 before halftime with a jumper. Stout led 33-30 after 20 minutes of play.

Rondorf tied the game at 39-39 with 7:27 remaining in the third quarter, however two Stout threes kept the lead in the Blue Devils' favor. The teams traded baskets over the next three minutes and Stout led by eight points twice before the third quarter ended before Seckar hit a layup with 43 seconds left in the quarter.

Sammi Beyer (So. • Appleton) converted a three, followed by a Vaile and-1, cutting the deficit to 60-58 at 4:25. For three minutes, UW-Stout went 10-0 and made the score 72-60 with 33 seconds left in the regular season. Beyer hit her third 3-pointer at 31 seconds to make the final score, 72-63.

The Titans will host the lowest remaining winner of Tuesday's (Feb. 25) WIAC Tournament first round games between six seed UW-River Falls and three seed UW-Whitewater and five seed UW-La Crosse and four seed UW-Stevens Point at Kolf Sports Center on Thursday (Feb. 27) at 7 p.m.
