OSHKOSH, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics head coach
Lauren Karnitz announced that Eboni Jackson has joined the program as an assistant coach.
"We are very excited to welcome Eboni back to the WIAC. She was an outstanding gymnast when she competed for Winona State and I'm looking forward to bringing her expertise on vault and floor to UW-Oshkosh. Eboni's experience as an athlete in gymnastics and as a college acrobatics & tumbling coach will bring a fresh perspective to our program. Our coaches and student-athletes are thrilled to welcome her to the Titan Family."
Most recently, Jackson served as a recruiting coordinator with IMG Academy's NCSA
Division where she worked closely with student-athletes and their families to guide them through the college recruiting process. She also gained valuable experience with AMB Sports & Entertainment, serving as an event day host at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. She supported gameday operations, enhanced fan engagement, and assisted with premium guest services.
Jackson previously served as the head coach of Converse University (S.C.) acrobatics & tumbling team, an NCAA Division II program, where she guided the program to a 6-4 overall record and a 5-3 mark in Conference Carolinas play. Under her leadership, the Valkyries advanced to the Conference Carolinas Tournament semifinal round for the third consecutive season and captured two conference event championships. She coached three athletes to all-conference first team honors, four to all-conference second team honors, and helped 14 student-athletes earn National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) Academic Honor Roll honors.
Prior to Converse, Jackson spent two seasons as the assistant acrobatics & tumbling coach at Limestone University (S.C.), compiling an overall record of 14-3. In her second year, she helped lead the Saints to the 2022 Conference Carolinas regular season championship, the 2022 Conference Carolinas tournament championship, and the 2022 NCATA National Open Pyramid championship.
Beyond coaching, Jackson has experience in student-athlete support, having served as an assistant athletic counselor at the University of Memphis (Tenn.), where she worked with men's basketball, tennis, track, and rifle student-athletes. She previously held multiple roles in athletics at Western Kentucky University, including being a marketing intern, property assistant, football recruiting intern, and graduate assistant, while completing her master's degree in recreation and sport administration with a certificate in intercollegiate athletics administration in 2020.
A standout student-athlete herself, Jackson was a four-year member of the women's gymnastics team at Winona State University, earning her bachelor's degree in mass communication with a minor in coaching in 2018. She was the 2017 National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) floor champion, the 2016 NCGA all-around champion, and a five-time All-American. Jackson set Winona State's school record in the all-around with 38.800 points at the 2016 NCGA Championship in Brockport, New York.
In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, Jackson has worked extensively at the youth level. She has hosted camps through Converse and has coached at Brickhouse Gymnastics and Cheer, Starz Elite Performance Academy, and the nationally recognized Flip Fest Gymnastics Camp.
In addition to her coaching roles, Jackson is active in community engagement. She has helped with the Drake London Youth Camp, the Cam Newton Foundation's 7on7 program, Special Olympics, and the Atlanta Entertainment Basketball League Pro Summer League.
A native of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Jackson graduated from Archer High School in 2014.
