OSHKOSH, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics made up a deficit of over a point in the final rotation of its conference dual against UW-Whitewater at Kolf Sports Center on Friday night (Jan. 9) on its way to defeating the Warhawks, 191.950-191-775.

The Titans, who have now scored at least 190 points in each of their last 29 meets, won the vault (48.400), uneven bars (48.500) and floor exercise (48.700) event titles while the Warhawks won the balance beam, 47.225-46.350.

Reanna McGibboney (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) led Oshkosh on the vault with a second-place finish of 9.725 points, followed by a third-place tie between
Kris Phillips (Warrenton, Mo./Warrenton) and
Ome Ellis (Oak Park, Mich./Royal Oak) at 9.700.
Amaya McConkay (Broken Arrow, Okla./Union) scored 9.650 to take sixth while
Kasha Muraski (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake South) and
Averie Evans (Fort Worth, Texas/Boswell) added scores of 9.625 and 9.575 points.

Evans was one of three gymnasts to score a 9.750 on the uneven bars, good for first place.
Lydia Hayden (Broomfield, Colo./Broomfield) and McConkay both tallied 9.700 points to claim fourth place and
Hannah Hughes (Selden, N.Y./Newfield),
Hadley Bretschneider (Lincoln, Neb./Lincoln Southwest) and McGibboney tied with a Warhawk for sixth place with 9.675 points.

Hayden won her second event in two meets by winning the balance beam at 9.750 points. Hughes was right behind with a second-place score of 9.650.
Jurnee Warkentien (Chandler, Ariz./Hamilton) rounded out the top five finishers with a 9.600-point tally.

Down 1.300 points headed into the final rotation, UW-Oshkosh more than made up the deficit by scoring a 48.700 in the floor exercise against UW-Whitewater's 47.225 on the balance beam. Ellis performed a routine worthy of a 9.800 in her first collegiate meet as a scoring gymnast and won the event.
Aleah Radojevich (Chicago, Ill./Saint Laurence),
Taylor Leaman (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) and McGibboney placed second through fourth with scores of 9.775, 9.750 and 9.725, respectively. Warkentien tied for sixth at 9.650 points and
Talynn Rae Gallegos (Centennial, Colo./Arapahoe) finished eighth with a 9.625.

The Titans will wrap up their three-week homestand on Thursday (Jan. 15) when Hamline University (Minn.) comes to Kolf Sports Center.
