-Oshkosh Athletics is seeks a dynamic, experienced leader to serve as the inaugural head coach for its new women's flag football program, set to launch in Spring 2026.
This is a 100% appointment responsible for building the program from the ground up in alignment with UW-Oshkosh, WIAC, and NCAA Division III (emerging sport) guidelines.
Required qualifications are a bachelor's degree, one to three years of coaching and/or recruiting experience in women's flag football or a closely related field, a valid driver's license and the ability to travel for recruiting and competition, and a knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and compliance.
Key responsibilities include: launching, leading, and managing all facets of the new women's flag football program, recruiting and retaining academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, designing and implementing practice plans, training programs, and competitive strategies, overseeing team operations including travel logistics, equipment needs, and budget management, fostering a culture of academic success, leadership, inclusivity, and student-athlete well-being, building and maintaining positive relationships within the campus and greater Oshkosh community, and collaborating with campus departments to promote program visibility and support student-athlete development.
