OSHKOSH, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh and UW-Eau Claire women's soccer fought to a 0-0 tie at J. J. Keller Field at Titan Stadium on Saturday (Oct. 3) night.
The scoreless tie was a first in the 34-year series between the programs. The four previous ties were 2-2 in 2001 and 2002 and 1-1 in 2007 and 2011. The tie also snapped a 5-match winning streak for the Blugolds.
The Titans (4-3-3, 0-0-1 WIAC) outshot the Blugolds (5-2-3, 0-0-1 WIAC), 15-6 and put six shots on goal to Eau Claire's two while holding a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.
Addie Wreath (Appleton/Appleton East) recorded a game-high five shots (two on goal) while both of
Addyson Knoebel's (Appleton/Appleton West) shots were on goal.
Jaden LeRoy (Evansville/Evansville) and
Shannon Walsh (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine West) accounted for the Titans' remaining two shots on goal with one apiece.
Larissa Likes (Kaukauna/Kaukauna) and
Jamaya Mariner (Green Bay/Green Bay East) combined for Oshkosh's fifth shutout of the season. Both made a save in their 45 minutes in goal.
The Titans head to Stevens Point on Wednesday (Oct. 7) to face the Pointers at the UWSP Turf Facility at 7 p.m. Oshkosh trails, 9-23-4 in the all-time series and looks to pick up its first win over Point since 2023.
