INDIANOLA, Iowa- Three members of UW-Oshkosh's women's wrestling team competed in the second day of the first-ever NCAA National Collegiate Region V Championship, a two-day event (Feb. 20-21) hosted by Simpson College (Iowa) in the Storm's McCowles Fieldhouse.
Mya Delleree (Fredonia/Ozaukee) led the Titans with a fifth-place finish.

UW-Oshkosh placed 12th in the 15-team field with 15.5 points. Division I University of Iowa won the team title with 196.5 points. The Hawkeyes also won eight of the 10 individual titles. Quincy University (Ill.) and Wartburg College (Iowa) took the 124- and 207-pound crowns, respectively.

Delleree, the six seed in her bracket, reached the semifinal round of the 124-pound consolation bracket with a 3-minute pin on Friday before falling to Iowa's second-seeded Cali Leng on Saturday. She was defeated by 20-10 technical fall by Amelia Adams, the four seed from UW-Stevens Point and settled for sixth when she medically forfeited the fifth-place match.

Isabel Paz (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North), the 103-pound seven seed, wrapped up her Friday action with a 10-0 technical fall win over Chelseas Beaver from Augsburg University (Minn.) She lost to six seed Mia Vasquez from Augustana College (Ill.) by technical fall on Saturday.

Allison Weiss (Holmen/Holmen) reached Saturday with a win by disqualification after falling to Gisele Gallegos from Augsburg, the 117-pound seven seed. In her Saturday match, she was pinned in 33 seconds by fourth-seeded Layla Phillips from Simpson.

The Titans finished their second season with a 1-7 dual record and totaled 76 individual wins, paced by Delleree's record of 20-18. Paz also eclipsed 10 wins at 15-13.
