GREENWOOD, Ind.- Matt Imig (Ashwaubenon/Ashwaubenon) was selected to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team on Tuesday (March 24), collecting the honor for the second year in a row.
 
Imig is a physical education major with a 3.70 cumulative grade-point average and will graduate from UW-Oshkosh this spring. He played in all 26 of the Titans' games this winter, averaging 3.3 points and 2.3 assists per game in 14.3 minutes on the court per contest.
 
Imig shot 33.7 percent (31-92) from the field, 30.2 percent (19-63) from 3-point range and 62.5 percent (5-8) from the line on the season and scored a season high 12 points against Maryville College (Tenn.) in Bloomington, Ill. on November 14. He also tallied a season best five rebounds against UW-Eau Claire on February 11 and dished out a season high five assists on three occasions.
 
UW-Oshkosh (17-9) qualified for the WIAC Tournament (presented by Culver's) with an 8-6 WIAC record. The Titans collected three wins over nationally ranked teams, including a 121-115 overtime victory over then-ranked No. 6 UW-La Crosse in Kolf Sports Center on January 7 and an 86-76 win over then-ranked No. 19 UW-Platteville at home on January 14.
 
The 2026 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
