What made you choose to go to a Division III school to compete in Softball?   

I chose DIII because I wanted to continue to play because I love the game, and not have other factors potentially impact that. I love softball, but I also love that I can have a life outside of it. I am a person, not just an athlete, and I appreciate that DIII has allowed me to have that. 

What attracted you to choose to attend UW-Oshkosh?   

I think I was most attracted to UWO because of the people. When I met my teammates, I felt immediately welcomed, and that’s what ultimately made me commit here. Culture is so important, and being able to actually see how strong that was on my first visit was such a green flag. I wanted to play on a team that supported not only myself but also each other.

What advice do you have for incoming high school students who are still looking at which university might be right for them?   

I would say that going to a school that values you as a person just as much as they do an athlete should be one of your biggest priorities. Life is so much more than your sport, and you’ll be so much happier. Also, being yourself is important too. You want to find the place where you fit in for being the real you, and find the people that you can see yourself spending every day with.

What are some of your favorite memories competing in Division III basketball and why you are thankful for the opportunity to continue your athletic journey at the DIII level?  

Some of my favorite memories have been on our trips to Florida. It’s so fun getting to live with my teammates for a week. I feel like I never stop laughing. I’m also thankful to play at the DIII level because of all the opportunities it's given me. I’ve been able to have so much fun and build so many relationships that I know will last a lifetime.
