MADISON, Wis.- Kiran Sanford (Two Rivers/Mishicot) was voted both Pitcher of the Year and Newcomer of the Year to headline UW-Oshkosh's selections on the All-WIAC Softball Team.

Sanford becomes Oshkosh's second straight and eighth overall WIAC Pitcher of the Year. She is the first Titan to garner the WIAC Newcomer of the Year recognition since the award was created in 2021. Sanford joins fellow Titans
Brianna Bougie (Oshkosh/Oshkosh West) (2025), Sara Brunlieb (2015), Maddie Fink (2021) and Ronessa Stampfli in earning WIAC Pitcher of the Year honors.

Oshkosh's other All-WIAC First Team selections were pitcher
Grace Nardi (Marquette, Mich./Negaunee) and utility player
Olivia Ullman (Denmark/Denmark). The Titans named to the All-WIAC Honorable Mention Team were Bougie at pitcher,
Brianne Lopez (Volo, Ill./Grant Community) at outfield and
Mary Kate Quaid (Aurora, Ill./Oswego East) at catcher.
Kenzie Longley (Sun Prairie/Sun Prairie East) represented Oshkosh on the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

The First Team features the top 20 vote getters on WIAC coach ballots. The 2026 Honorable Mention Team is comprised of 15 players. Voting is based on conference statistics only.

UW-Platteville third baseman Melissa Dietz was named WIAC Player of the Year. UW-Stevens Point was voted WIAC Coaching Staff of the Year. Softball's winner of the Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete Award was UW-Eau Claire outfielder Paige Lathrop.

Sanford went 6-1 with one save in the pitcher's circle against league rivals, compiling a 0.98 ERA and 52 strikeouts in 50 innings. Her overall season stats on the year include a 16-3 record, 1.32 ERA, 0.92 WHIP ratio with six shutouts and 152 strikeouts in 122 innings. Sanford heads into the NCAA tournament ranked 14th nationally in strikeouts, strikeout-to-walk ratio (6.33) and strikeouts per seven innings (8.7); 18th in WHIP ratio; and 19th in shutouts.

Sanford notched conference shutouts against UW-Eau Claire on April 11, UW-La Crosse on April 17 and UW-River Falls on April 26. She has not allowed more than three runs during any of her 24 appearances this year.

Nardi tossed consecutive no-hitters versus conference foes, silencing UW-River Falls on April 26 and UW-Stevens Point on April 30. She was 3-1 during WIAC contests with a 1.12 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 37.2 innings pitched as league opponents hit just .142 against Nardi.

Nardi's season totals include a 9-1 record with two saves, a 1.41 ERA and 75 strikeouts in 74.2 innings.

Ullman batted a team-best .362 during conference play, accumulating 17 hits, seven runs scored, four doubles, one triple, three runs batted in and 23 total bases. On the year she is pacing the Titans with a .370 batting average, 47 hits, 32 runs, 11 doubles, two triples, 65 total bases and nine stolen bases.

Ullman went 3-for-4 during a WIAC doubleheader sweep over River Falls and collected at least two hits against each conference team.

Bougie, last year's WIAC Pitcher of the Year, compiled a 2-1 record against WIAC programs. She held a 2.28 ERA in conference play while striking out 14 batters in 15.1 innings. Overall, Bougie sports a 5-4 record with four saves, a 1.88 ERA and 58 punchouts across 70.2 innings. Her four saves rank seventh in the country.

Lopez hit .319 in league play during her debut collegiate season, collecting 15 hits, four runs, two doubles and three RBIs. She went 6-for-8 overall in a WIAC doubleheader against River Falls on April 26. On the season Lopez is batting .355 with 43 hits, 22 runs, six doubles, three triples, 14 RBIs and eight steals.

Quaid batted .311 in conference contests with 14 hits, four runs, three doubles, two home runs and 11 RBIs. She homered against La Crosse on April 14 before launching a home run and driving in a career-high five runs at UW-Whitewater on April 21. Quaid's season totals include a .299 batting average, 32 hits, 10 runs, six doubles, a team-leading four home runs, a team best-tying 23 RBIs and 50 total bases.

Oshkosh (30-8-1, 11-3 WIAC) won the league regular season title by two games over runner-up Platteville (24-15, 9-5). The conference championship was the Titans' sixth (1984, 1985, 2007, 2021, 2024).

Stevens Point (30-13, 7-7 WIAC) went on to clinch the conference postseason title and secure the league's automatic berth into the NCAA Division III Championship.

Oshkosh received one of 22 at-large berths into the NCAA postseason and will travel to St. Louis, Mo., to play Illinois College at 1:30 p.m. Thursday (May 14) during the opening round of a regional hosted by Washington University in St. Louis. Stevens Point begins NCAA play against regional host Saint Mary's University (Minn.) on Thursday.
