Jarvis Elevated To Full-Time Assistant; McConkay To Join Staff

OSHKOSH, Wis.- UW-Oshkosh women's gymnastics head coach Lauren Karnitz announced on Monday (June 29) that Rahdea Jarvis has been elevated to full-time assistant coach and Amaya McConkay (Broken Arrow, Okla./Union) will stay in Oshkosh as a part-time coach.

"Rahdea has been an invaluable member of our Titan Gymnastics family, and I am thrilled to see her elevated to the role of our top assistant coach," Karnitz said. "Her passion for UW-Oshkosh, commitment to excellence, and genuine care for our student-athletes make her the ideal person for this position. As an accomplished former student-athlete and coach, Rahdea brings a unique perspective, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of what it means to represent our program. She has earned the respect of our team through her dedication, work ethic and ability to inspire those around her."

Jarvis, who has been on the coaching staff for the last three seasons, competed for the Titans from 2019-23. She was a member of three WIAC championship teams (2020, 2022-23) and two National Collegiate Gymnastics Association title runs (2022, 2023). The 2023 WIAC Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Jarvis earned All-America honors twice in her career, placing eighth on the vault at the 2019 national meet and placing fifth on the uneven bars in 2022.

Since joining the staff on a volunteer basis in 2023, Jarvis has been the primary coach for vault and uneven bars.

Oshkosh has extended its run of conference championships to six in a row (2024-26) and won an additional two NCGA championships (2024, 2026) with Jarvis on the staff.

Jarvis earned her bachelor's degree in business management from UW-Oshkosh in 2022 and her Master of Business Administration in 2024.

Since her joining the coaching staff, Jarvis had mentored Titans to the last three uneven bars titles and the 2026 vault title at the WIAC Championship. At the NCGA Championship, she has helped Titans to two individual titles each on the vault and the bars while gymnasts added seven additional All-America medals between the events.

2026 UW-Oshkosh graduate and four-time letterwinner Amaya McConkay (Broken Arrow, Okla./Union) will remain in Oshkosh as the team's second assistant.

"I am also excited to welcome recent graduate Amaya McConkay (Broken Arrow, Okla./Union) into her new role as assistant coach." Karnitz said. "Amaya has been a tremendous representative of our program throughout her student-athlete career, and she brings energy, enthusiasm, and a strong connection with our current team. Her experience as a Titan gymnast, combined with her passion for mentoring and developing student-athletes, will make her a valuable addition to our coaching staff."

McConkay, the 2025 WIAC uneven bars champion, placed fourth on the bars during this winter's national championship to claim an All-America medal. A member of that last four straight conference championship teams, she also helped Oshkosh to national titles in 2023, 2024 and 2026.

"Together, Rahdea and Amaya embody the culture, tradition, and excellence of Titan Gymnastics," Karnitz added. "I look forward to working alongside them as we continue building on the success of our program."
