Additional Information

A total of 64 teams earned bids to the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship learned where they started their national postseason journey during the selection show on March 2. Sixteen regional sites had four teams competing in a single-elimination format on March 6-7. The 16 winners of the regional tournaments qualified for the four sectional sites, which will be hosted on campuses across the country on March 13-14. New York University, the University of Scranton (Pa.) and Washington and Lee University (Va.) will host the other three sectional tournaments. The four quarterfinal winners will travel to Salem, Virginia for the final two rounds of the national tournament in the Cregger Center. The semifinal games will take place on March 19, and after a day of rest, the final two teams in the tournament will compete for the 43rd national title in Division III history on March 21.

Forty-three conference champions qualified automatically while 21 at-large bids were awarded. At-large bids comprises independent institutions and institutions that are members of conferences that do not meet the requirements for automatic qualification or institutions from automatic-qualifying conferences that are not their conference champions.

Hope College (Mich.) (Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association) and Washington University in St. Louis (Mo.) (University Athletic Association) both secured their conference's automatic bid to the national championship. The University of Chicago (Ill.) (University Athletic Association) and UW-Oshkosh (Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) both earned an at-large bid.

Located in Northeast Wisconsin on the western shore of Lake Winnebago, Oshkosh is banked by the Fox River and Lake Butte des Morts in Winnebago County. Oshkosh and its surrounding communities have a population of 95,000 and it is situated within 85 miles of Green Bay, Milwaukee, and Madison. Bustling downtown Oshkosh is just a mile west of campus.

All media wishing to attend the 2026 Oshkosh, Wisconsin NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Sectional must be credentialed by UW-Oshkosh. Please contact Brady Halverson to request a credential.

Credentials can be picked up before Friday from the sports information office and at the ticket window between Friday and Saturday.

Press conferences will be hosted in the hospitality room on the first floor of Kolf Sports Center. Each team will have a press conference following their match. The NCAA requires a ten minute cool-down period before participants are made available for media.

Media space will be made available in the fieldhouse at Kolf Sports Center. Media will not be permitted to sit at the scorer's table due to limited space.

Any media that do not follow NCAA or UW-Oshkosh protocol are subject to loss of credential.
