Cindy Suess, who won her 200th game at UW-Oshkosh during 2012, enters her ninth season as head coach.

Suess has posted a winning record in each of her eight years,compiling a 204-129-1 mark. Her victory total ranks eighth in WIAChistory, while her .612 winning percentage stands fourth among coaches with 200 wins.

The Titans have finished in the top two of the WIAC four times,including a league championship in 2007. UW-Oshkosh posted a school-record 36 wins that season and advanced to the regional stage of the NCAA Division III Championship.

The Titans nearly qualified for the NCAA Division III WorldSeries in 2008, as they fell in the regional title game to post a32-11 mark. Suess guided UW-Oshkosh to second-place finishes in the conference during both 2005 and 2006, compiling a total of 51victories.

Two players have earned NCAA Division III All-America honors for Suess, while her athletes have racked up a total of 18 All-WIACfirst team selections. The 2007 WIAC Coach of the Year, Suess helped Ronessa Stampfli earn four straight conference Pitcher of the Year awards. Two Titans have won the league’s Position Player of the Year – Whitney Tyriver in 2006 and WhitneyTornow in 2009.

Prior to her UW-Oshkosh appointment, Suess was the head softball coach and a physical education teacher at Verona High School. In her 12 seasons, she directed the Wildcats to a 228-49 record, fiveWIAA Division 1 State Tournaments and eight Badger Conference championships. Verona advanced to the WIAA Division 1 State Tournament in 1999 and from 2001-04, posting second-place finishes in 2001 and 2002.

During her tenure at Verona, Suess coached 12 all-state first team selections and seven scholarship performers. TheLuxemburg-Casco High School graduate also directed numerous camps,clinics and fundraisers to enhance and promote the Verona softball program. Suess has been a member of the Wisconsin FastpitchSoftball Coaches Association since 1993, serving as president since2003. She is also a member of the National Fastpitch CoachesAssociation.

Suess coached girls basketball and taught physical education at McFarland High School from 1989-92. She was a teacher and coach atAvondale High School in Auckland, New Zealand, from 1987-88 and Marian Central High School (Woodstock, Ill.) from 1985-87. While in Auckland, Suess was a member of the Metro Softball Club that captured the 1987 New Zealand national championship.

Suess was a standout softball player at Wartburg College (Iowa), receiving NCAA Division III All-America first team honors for the Knights in 1985. She also gained All-Iowa Intercollegiate AthleticConference first team honors in 1984 and 1985 and second-team mention in 1983. Suess compiled a .350 batting average during her three years at Wartburg College, the second-highest career mark in school history. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the school in 1985.

Assisting Suess at UW-Oshkosh is her husband, Graeme Robertson. Robertson, a former player on New Zealand's National Fastpitch Softball team, coaches the pitchers and catchers. In addition to her coaching duties, Suess works in the UW-Oshkosh athletics department as a member of the strength and conditioning staff.
