Greg Ruark joins the Titans as the top women's soccer assistant coach in 2024.
Ruark's combined 42 years of coaching experience across the high school and college levels bring decades of experience in the soccer world to the Titans' sideline. His last collegiate coaching stop was as the head coach of the Ripon College Redhawks women's soccer program for five seasons from 2017 to 2021 after being assistant for a year. He compiled a 23-47-6 record at the helm of the program, the second-most wins in the Redhawks' history. Five Redhawks earned All-Midwest Conference honors during his tenure, and one student-athlete was named the MWC's Elite 20 award winner.
Ruark returns to Oshkosh after most recently being the director of parks and recreation in the city of Greencastle, Ind.
Before his stint at Ripon, Ruark was with the Oshkosh United Soccer Club as the director of player development and Lawrence University as an assistant men's soccer coach. From 2013 to 2018, he was the head girl's soccer coach at Oshkosh West High School, tallying a record of 56-42-10.
In his first stint as a head coach, Ruark was the men's soccer coach at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology from 1988 to 2002, compiling a mark of 84-161-12. He had a record of 11-23-1 as the Fightin' Engineers' first women's coach during the initial 1999 campaign as well as in 2000. The Fightin' Engineers earned Academic All-America honors in 1989 and1990 under Ruark.
He began his coaching career as an assistant coach at DePauw University (Ind.).
Ruark earned his bachelor's degree in public relations from Ball State University (Ind.) in 1981 and his master's in health and physical education from DePauw University in 1983.
