RIVER FALLS, Wis. - The UW-Oshkosh women's soccer team blanked UW-River Falls on Saturday (Oct. 26), 1-0 at Ramer Soccer Stadium, in a WIAC matchup.
The Titans (3-11-2, 2-4 WIAC) out shot River Falls (7-9-2, 2-5 WIAC) 26 to 14 with each team having five shots on goal. The Titans committed 11 fouls to the Falcons' two and had two corners to the Falcons' one.
The Titans' leading attacker was
Anna Zenz (So. • West Allis), booting four shots in her 46 minutes on the pitch. In the net, goalkeeper
Emma Sauriol (Sr. • New Lenox, Ill.) saved all five of the Falcons' shots on goal.
After a tightly contested first half, forward
Anika Roush (Jr. • Byron, Ill.) found the back of the net off a rebound in the 84th minute of the match.
Oshkosh is scheduled to be on the road again for its next match, heading to Lake Forest, Ill. to take on Lake Forest College at Mohr Field next Wednesday (Oct 30).
